Getting Around Town
Directions
The San Francisco Mart is located at 1355 Market Street
between 9th and 10th Streets.
From the East and South Bay
Traveling north on Highway 101 from the South Bay, or approaching San Francisco
from the east via the Bay Bridge, follow the Civic Center/ Golden Gate Bridge signs.
Take the 9th Street/Civic Center exit and proceed north on 9th Street in the
left lane for six blocks. Cross Market Street and bear to the left
(around Fox Plaza), then turn left on Polk Street. Proceed in the left lane and
cross back over Market. Make a left immediately before Stevenson Street to enter
the
SF Mart's underground garage.
From the North Bay
Driving south on Highway 101 from the Golden Gate Bridge, follow Highway 101 on
Van Ness Avenue to the Civic Center and turn left on Grove Street. Turn right
on Polk, then proceed in the left lane across Market Street. Make a left
immediately before Stevenson Street to enter the SF Mart's underground garage.

Public Transportation
BART trains and MUNI street cars & trains are fast, easy and inexpensive
ways of traveling between the Mart and Union Square hotels and restaurants, as well as to and from the airports (SFO and Oakland).

Antique MUNI street cars -the"F" line- run along Market Street and stop at
every block, including Stockton/4th Sts. (Union Square), Powell/Fifth Sts.
(Union Square) and 9th Street (SF Mart). Look for MUNI islands in the street on
Market Street. Fare is $1.50
MUNI trains run underground along Market Street. Stops include the Embarcadero,
Montgomery Street, Powell/Fifth Sts. (Union Square) and the Civic Center (SF Mart).
Look for MUNI signs indicating stairways to underground access. Fare is $1.50.

Airport Transportation
Airport Shuttles
From SFO
Door-to-door vans provide direct service between SFO and the City.
Vans are available on a walk-up basis and depart from the Baggage Claim level
outside the terminals. Approximate fare is $15.
From Oakland
More than 20 door-to-door shuttle companies service SF from the Oakland Airport.
The vans are available at the Shuttle Depot just outside the terminals.
Approximate fare is $30.
To SFO or Oakland
Capitol Limousine offers shuttle service to SFO or Oakland. Reservation booth
is located in the Shipping Department in Mart 1 at 9 a.m. daily, or call (415)
752-5055 or (877) 546-6688.
Public Transit
Take BART to and from the SF Mart & fly in/out of SFO or Oakland.

SFO via BART
- Walk one block away from the Mart, towards 8th Street.
Take the stairs (in front of the Ramada Hotel) down to the BART Station.
- Purchase a $4.95 BART ticket from the ticket machines. Board a
San Francisco Airport SFO bound BART train and take it to the SFO.
Travel time between Civic Center and SFO is approximately 30 minutes.
- Ride AirTrain to the terminals.
OAKLAND AIRPORT via BART
- Walk one block away from the Mart, towards 8th Street.
Take the stairs (in front of the Ramada Hotel) down to the BART Station.
- At the 8th Street/Civic Center BART Station, purchase a $5.15 BART ticket
($3.15 for BART and $2.00 for the AirBart Shuttle).
- Board either a Fremont bound or Dublin/Pleasanton bound BART train to the
Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.
- Board an AirBART shuttle to the Oakland Airport located outside
(street level) of the BART station. Shuttles leave the BART Station every
10 minutes. Travel time between the BART and Airport is approximately 15
minutes, but can be as much as 30 minutes during peak weekday rush hours.
