고려인삼 천년의 맥을 이어가는 이롬 개성인삼
고려시대 최대의 무역항이었던 예성강 하류 벽란도에서 중국 및 아라비아로 교역을 하면서 고려인삼이 최고의 특산품으로 거래되었는데, 대부분의 고려인삼 산지는 개성인삼이 처음 재배되었던 곳으로, 바로 파주 장단 지역이었습니다. 1551년 조선조 주세붕 선생이 황해도 관찰사로 부임하면서 인삼 재배법을 파주 장단 일대에 보급해 개성인삼의 주산지를 형성했습니다. 또한 구포건삼도록(1888년)에는 개성의 증삼포에서 장단지역 인삼을 백삼・홍삼으로 가공하여 국내 약재로 사용했다는 기록이 있으며, 인삼의 규모와 소재지가 자세히 수록된 한국삼정요람(1908년)에도 장단이 개성인삼의 본원지라고 소개되어 있습니다. 이렇게 재배된 파주의 개성인삼은 개성상인들에 의해 일찌감치 해외에 그 우수성을 널리 알렸으며, 오늘날 한국의 대표 특산품으로 자리매김했습니다.

민통선 북방 비무장지대(DMZ) 지역인 장단면은 임진강에 접한 감악산 기슭의 청정공기와 비옥한 토양, 서늘한 기후 등 인삼 재배에 가장 적합한 환경입니다. 해발 200미터, 임진강 해양성 기후 지대의 배수가 잘되는 사질토양에서는 뿌리 발달이 좋고 병해충에 강한 인삼들이 재배됩니다. 이곳에서 자라는 인삼은 여름철 서늘하고 밤낮의 기온차가 커 사포닌 함량이 높고 뿌리의 육질이 단단하고 뇌두가 큰 것이 특징입니다.

In the event of non-delivery due to an incorrect address or recipient information supplied by the customer, or if the items ordered were an error of the customer, the following options may be considered for your satisfaction:

If the items ordered are unopened, unused, undamaged and in original packaging, send your order back to us at your shipping expense for a full product refund or an exchange. We recommend you always insure the shipment. Refunds will not include shipping costs originally incurred to ship your order.

To exchange an item, send your items back to us at your shipping expense, and we will gladly replace them with another item of your choice. Customers will pay the difference between the product(s) exchanged or receive a refund, as well as pay for return shipping costs to receive the replacement.
Refund submissions are processed on receipt of the goods and take 7-14 business days (depending on banking institutions and merchant providers) to process.

In-Stock items in orders over $50 will receive free expedited shipping in the contiguous (lower- 48) the United States. These items should arrive in 3-5 business days, depending on your location.
- The $50 order total is calculated after all discounts have been applied. Gift Cards, freight charges, duties, and taxes do not count towards the $40 order total.
- USPS can ship packages to PO Boxes. Packages cannot be rerouted or picked up. Delivery times vary by destination and are not guaranteed. Tracking of packages has some limitations.
